Design Consultation Services

Practical, realistic design advice from an approachable, down-to-earth designer

    • You will provide Caitie with a video of your space. Walk and talk your way through each room, describing challenges and goals as you go.

    • Caitie will review your video, photos, Pinterest board, etc. and provide thoughtful, personalized ideas and recommendations via email.

    • After this initial session, you can implement the suggestions on your own, or continue to work with Caitie at hourly rates.

 

    • Emailed recommendations for the best one to three Dream Collection colours for your home (siding and trim).

    • Mock-up visuals of the 1-3 recommended colour(s) shown on one façade (usually the front of the home).

  • What’s Included?

    • Recommendations for the best three BM or SW colours for ONE exterior accent (e.g. front door OR trim OR fence etc.).

    • Mock-up visuals of all three options.

    • Large paint colour swatches to help you compare and decide!

    • NOTE: If you need help with more than one exterior accent (e.g front door AND shutters), it is $50 for each additional accent. Contact Caitie to arrange this.

Hourly Rates for Continuing Services

If you’d like to keep working with Caitie after your consultation, she can help build your design plan, source furniture & fixtures, specify colours & finishes, advise on home organization, execute styling & decor, and more for $50 per hour.

NOTE: Travel time is charged at 0.5x hourly rate. Time is billed by the quarter hour.

  • While Caitie loves and appreciates many different design styles, she prefers working with modern traditional, organic modern, Scandinavian, and English Country styles.

    Think neutrals and earth tones, wood, stone, and natural materials, warm lighting, soft textures, and functional decor.

    Caitie can also work with bolder palettes and eclectic styles

  • Absolutely! Small space design is one of Caitie’s special interests. Living small can be challenging, but it’s doable when your space is maximized and your rooms are optimized. Caitie can help improve the layout, flow, comfort, and function of your home to ensure you’re making the most of it.

  • Absolutley! Big improvements can often be made by simply rearranging your existing furniture and properly styling your belongings. Caitie is happy to work with what you’ve got, and/or suggest reasonable alternatives to improve the beauty and function of your home.

  • You bet! Choosing colour palettes, interior finishes, and furnishings can be daunting, but Caitie has extensive additional colour training and can assist in the selection process. She’ll help identify your inspiration piece(s) and show you how to build your palette around them, creating an intentional and cohesive home.

  • Many interior designers charge three-figure hourly rates, and only take on large-scale renovations or new builds. Recognizing a gap, Caitie developed these services for middle-income folks doing smaller-scale projects, so more homeowners and renters could access design expertise.

    Even so, you must be willing and able to invest several thousand dollars into your space(s) to cover furniture, fixtures, decor, design fees, etc.
