About

  • Hey there! I’m Caitie, and I’ve loved interior design since I was a little kid. I spent weekend mornings glued to HGTV instead of Teletoon like a proper ‘90s kid, and that interest continued to grow over the years.

I didn’t think design was a realistic pursuit, so I studied History and Philosophy at university, then worked a few jobs in Law and Policy, then began a Master’s Degree in Environmental Management — which I promptly dropped — finding myself unable to fight the creative compulstions any longer. I finally accepted I that HAD to be a designer or DIE TRYING.

Now you can find me shuffling paint chips, pouring over space plans, and devising creating solutions to every design challenge that comes my way. I’m committed to make every space as comfortable, functional, and beautiful as it can be, and I really love what I do!

  • I believe good design should be comfortable, functional, practical, resourceful, creative, and beautiful. Your home should feel good, work for you, and help you live well.

I’m a big supporter of classic and timeless design, and believe that true luxury is found in comfort and convenience. It’s important to keep designs thoughtful, intentional, and resourceful — not trendy, frivolous, and wasteful.

  • I’m particularly interested in small space design, home optimization, functional styling, colour coordination, and thoughtful lighting. I enjoy the process of creative problem solving.

Most people don’t have the time or money to create their dream home, but proper space planning, functional styling, and coordinated colour palettes can get you most of the way!

  • After earning my undergraduate degree from SFU and working for a few years in law and policy, I finally accepted that I HAD to be a designer or DIE TRYING.

First, I completed BCIT’s Interior Design diploma. Pursing my interest in sustainable design, I further trained as a LEED Green Associate and a TRUE Zero Waste Advisor, then interned at the City of Vancouver’s Green Buildings department

I later completed extensive additional colour training including True Colour Expert by Maria Killam, Colourful Language by Kylie Mawdsley, and Colour Strategist by Lori Sawaya — all internationally recognized expert courses.

I’ve also completed basic trades courses in framing, wood working, plumbing, electrical, and tiling. I am interested many aspects of design and building and am always striving to fill gaps in my knowledge.
