Drawer Organizers
Drawers are great, but they’re MUCH BETTER with some thoughtful dividers! Use the following accessories to organize the drawers in your kitchen, bathroom, office, and laundry room, and bedroom.
Great for compact kitchens, this small, tiered cutlery tray will fit in virtually any drawer. It also comes in a less expensive plastic version, and it could also be great for organizing colouring utensils!
These drawer dividers come in different sizes and are spring loaded, so they’ll compress to fit in your drawers perfectly. These are great for organizing larger cooking utensils, small food items, bathroom items, or clothes in dresser drawers. They also come in white.
For smaller items like stationary, bathroom items, rubber bands / clips, etc. I prefer clear acrylic organizers. They feel a little cleaner than opaque alternatives and can be easily soaped and rinsed as needed. They often come with little rubber dots you can stick to the bottom corners to prevent sliding.
First thing’s first: get yourself a set of food storage containers to reduce the number / size / shape of your lids. Then you can use an adjustable organizer like this one to keep track of all your beautiful new lids! (Here is an expandable option.)
If you’re tired of your bag boxes getting ripped and crushed in the drawer, try this specialty food wrap organizer complete with sliding cutters.
If you store your dishes in a drawer, a pegboard organizer is super adjustable and prevents your dishes from sliding around, maintaining neat stacks.
Knife organizers protect both the blades and your hands! It’s nice how this one has enough space for the handles to comfortably sit side-by-side.
If you have enough drawer space for your spices, a tiered organizer like this one keeps everything in line. (This could also work beautifully for makeup if you have a shallow drawer in your vanity / bathroom!) If your kitchen is tight on space, consider a magnetic shelf for the side of your fridge.

Cabinet / Cupboard Organizers
Cabinets (especially lowers!) and shelves can EASILY become chaotic graveyards for all manner of household items. Use the following items to reclaim that cabinet space… no more kneeling and reaching blindly in mild fear of what you’ll find!
GAME CHANGER ALERT!! Bring the functionality of drawers to your lower cabinets with pull-out trays. This one actually screws into the shelf for extra sturdiness, but you can find less-expensive adhesive options as well.
Adding turntables to your upper cabinets and fridge (or even a countertop / table) is another total game changer! Get the largest size that will fit to maximize your space. IKEA has a great selection too, including the Snurrad made especially for the fridge.
For smaller spaces and/or smaller items, these sliding basket organizers are great. They come in many shapes and sizes, including asymmetrical options to fit around pipes. These will revolutionize your cupboards under the kitchen and bathroom sinks!
To make use of all the vertical space in your cabinets, add stackable, length-extendable, height-adjustable shelf organizers as needed. NOTE: Larger corner models are best for plates.
Another way to maximize vertical cupboard and fridge storage is with under-shelf baskets. Check Amazon for other size options.
Having pans filed away is SO much better than stacking them on top of one another! There are also vertical options if that suits your cupboard better.
This great organizer stretches or compresses to your desired spacing and is great for organizing lids or filing away baking dishes.
Vertical Space Organizers
So often, vertical space is left wasted and forgotten. Use the following accessories to help utilize the storage space you didn’t even know you had!
Storing small items on the inside of cupboard and closet doors can be a great use of vertical space, and a method of storing small items with maximum convenience. True luxury is having precisely the things you need, right where you need them!
Get that paper towel off the counter! Try a magnetic holder for the side of your fridge, or an undermount option that you can install beneath a cabinet.
This one seems to be a love/hate, but if you need to free up extra counter and drawer space, putting your knives on the wall is a great option. Look for a strip with continuous magnets along the back to avoid dead spots.
Large and bulky cookware can be hung on the wall to clear up drawer / cupboard space and double as functional decor. Create an amazing custom kitchen rail system using IKEA’s Hultarp line. (Honourable mention: swap your fruit bowl for a fruit hammock too clear up even more space!)
Make use of the vertical space in your cabinets by adding mug hooks to the underside of a shelf, or free up cabinet space altogether by installing the hooks underneath your uppers.
I hope this gives you some ideas on how to maximize and optimize all the busy rooms in your home! As always, I really appreciate you using my links to make purchases, which helps support the blog at no cost to you. Thank you and happy organizing!
