Maple Turkey Breakfast Patties

NOTE: These “recipes” are inspirational guides — not fully-developed and detailed. Take the following with a pinch of salt!

INGREDIENTS (roughly!)

1 lb ground turkey (raw)

1/2 diced onion, seasoned and sauteed

1 tbsp BTB beef base (50% less salt)

1/2 tsp salt (or less if BTB is full salt)

1/4 tsp pepper

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

1 tbsp maple syrup or coconut sugar

10-15 drops maple extract

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Thoroughly mix all ingredients in a large bowl. (I find it easiest to mix by hand with a glove!)

  • Divide the mixtures into roughly eight 2oz balls.

  • Flatten the balls into thin patties.

  • Fry on medium heat till each side has browned and patties are cooked through.

  • These are delicious on English muffins with melted gouda, arugula, and siracha mayo!
