EASY Homemade Chicken Strips (or Nuggets!)
If you love crispy chicken but CANNOT be bothered with the flour > egg > breading ordeal, this method is for you. Using ground chicken allows you to directly season the meat and skip straight to the breading!
INGREDIENTS (roughly!)
In a large bowl, combine:
1 lb ground chicken thigh
2 tbs Better than Bouillon 50% Reduced Sodium (this adds salt while enhancing chicken flavour!)
1 optional squeeze of siracha
1ish tsp each of seasonings, e.g. garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, Cajun seasoning, ranch seasoning, etc. (Be mindful of the total added salt!)
Once thoroughly combined, roughly form into realistic nuggets, strips, or cutlets, then press into the breading mixture:
1 cup panko (may need more)
Some seasonings of choice, e.g. parmesan, salt, pepper, garlic/onion powder, etc.
Airfry or shallow fry in a pan until golden on both sides. Enjoy with a caesar salad, in a wrap, as part of a bowl, or on their own with a dipping sauce!
