About

  • Hey there! I’m Caitie, and I’ve loved interior design since I was a little kid — glued to HGTV instead of Teletoon like a proper ‘90s kid.

I never thought I could practice design for a living, so I studied History and Philosophy at university, then worked several jobs in Law and Policy and even began a Master’s Degree in Environmental Management before finally accepting I HAD to be a designer or DIE (is how it felt).

Now you can find me shuffling paint chips, pouring over space plans, and devising creating solutions to every pesky design challenge that comes my way!

  • I believe good design should be comfortable, functional, practical, resourceful, creative, affordable, and beautiful. No matter your circumstance, it’s always important to feel good in your home!

I’m a major advocate for timeless design, and believe that true luxury is found in comfort and convenience.

  • I’m passionate about small space design, home optimization, functional styling, thoughtful lighting; and I always strive to create comfortable, ergonomic and beautiful spaces.

Most people don’t have the time or money for a dream home, but proper space planning, functional styling, and coordinated colour palettes can get you most of the way there!

  • After earning a BA from SFU and working for a few years in law and policy, I enrolled at BCIT where I earned an accredited Interior Design diploma.

Pursing my interest in sustainable design, I further trained as a LEED Green Associate, a TRUE Zero Waste Advisor, and interned at the City of Vancouver’s Green Buildings department

I’ve completed extensive additional colour training including True Colour Expert by Maria Killam, Colourful Language Master Class by Kylie Mawdsley, and Colour Strategist by Lori Sawaya — all internationally recognized colour experts.

I’ve also taken basic wood working, plumbing, and electrical courses and am always looking to fill gaps in my knowledge.
